The Global Mangrove Alliance
Mangrove forests are some of the most productive and biologically diverse ecosystems on the planet. These tropical forests, found along the shoreline, are important centers for biodiversity, provide food and jobs to communities near and far, and protect the vulnerable from climate change impacts. Despite their wide-ranging benefits and value, mangroves are being destroyed at an alarming rate.
The Global Mangrove Alliance is a commitment from the international community to reverse the loss of critically important mangrove habitats worldwide. The Alliance is guided by the concept of a cooperative, collective effort as a means to accomplish more than individual organizations attempting to tackle this issue on their own, and we are seeking interested partners across all sectors.
